Five Fabulous Podcasts on Forgiveness

In my previous blog post, I wrote about how forgiveness is an unexpectedly significant aspect of healing from grief. Forgiveness is not always an easy road, so today, I am sharing five fabulous podcasts on the topic of forgiveness to learn from and be inspired by.

  1. The 100% Awesome Podcast by April Price Episode 113 “Forgiving Others”

In this podcast, April helps us see how forgiveness is something that’s within our power to give ourselves. April is great at helping people shift their thoughts in just the right way to make positive changes. I literally never miss an episode of her podcast — it’s fantastic every single week.

  2. The Science of Happiness Podcast Episode 124 “Nine Steps to Forgiveness”

In this episode, host Dacher Keltner helps a guest, Anoosha Syed, work through Stanford University Forgiveness Project director Dr. Fred Luskin’s Nine Steps to Forgiveness. Anoosha works through forgiving both herself and someone who wronged her. Dr. Luskin’s 9 steps are right there in the show notes as a bonus.

  3. Kelly Corrigan Wonders Episode 8 “On Forgiveness with Wanda Holland Greene”

I adore Kelly Corrigan, and her podcast is a treasure. In this episode, Kelly and guest Wanda Holland Greene bring three unforgettable stories of forgiveness in real people’s lives. So good.

  4. The Happiness Lab with Dr. Laurie Santos “Happiness Lessons of the Ancients: Forgiveness”

In this episode, Dr. Laurie Santos speaks with Miroslav Volf, a Yale Divinity teacher who learned forgiveness in his studies, but even more impactfully in a personal way, when his younger brother was killed in an accident.

  5. The Gift of Forgiveness Podcast by Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt

This recommendation is for the full podcast, not just one episode. There are 16 episodes, and each contains a personal story of forgiveness, with some expert teachers in the mix, as well. I often recommend the book by the same name to my clients who are struggling to find forgiveness. Both are excellent!
